At CLS Strategies, Renee combines her expertise in Latin America and the Caribbean with her experience in media relations and public affairs. She serves a wide range of clients across CLS Strategies’ practice areas in both the public and private sector.
Prior to CLS, Renee worked in media relations at the University of Miami, where she discovered her passion for intercultural communications and public relations. As a public affairs intern at the U.S. Department of State, she helped lead an international social media campaign for World Refugee Day 2014. While earning her Master’s degree, Renee conducted research related to the economic integration of asylum seekers in Mexico. She has also volunteered in Haiti, Chile and Belize.
Renee graduated with an M.A. in Latin American and Hemispheric Studies from The George Washington University, and holds a B.S. in Communication Studies and Political Science from the University of Miami. She is fluent in Spanish and working on becoming proficient in French.
