At CLS Strategies, Ana applies years of professional experience abroad to work across the firm’s practice areas, from international and crisis issues to litigation and public affairs. Starting as a CLS intern, she has assisted clients that include political parties, foreign corporations, financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies. Ana is also part of CLS Strategies’ internal marketing team.
Ana began her career in international politics, most recently serving as a project manager at the political consulting firm Machina, where she helped develop strategies for national and international electoral campaigns. At Machina, Ana also led the press center for Venezuela’s opposition coalition during 2015 parliamentary elections, where it won a congressional supermajority.
Ana has also served as Chief of Staff for a Venezuelan congressman in the Latin American Parliament, and was a member of the electoral campaign team for Venezuela’s Democratic Unity opposition coalition, serving as the International Coordinator’s Assistant for the 2012 opposition primaries, and during presidential races in 2012 and 2013.
As a dual citizen of the United States and Venezuela, Ana is fluent in Spanish and has studied French. She graduated from the Universidad Central of Venezuela with an M.A. in International Relations, and holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a focus on International Policy from the Universidad Metropolitana of Caracas.
