CLS Strategies Andrew Koneschusky Named to PRWeek’s “40 under 40” List

CLS Strategies Partner Andrew Koneschusky has been named to PRWeek’s “40 under 40” list of distinguished industry leaders. The annual PRWeek “40 under 40” list profiles professionals who “demonstrate innovative thinking, strong determination and results that indicate a long and successful career in the PR industry.”

“Andrew’s enthusiasm for his clients is felt by everyone who works with him here at CLS Strategies and drives a spirit of achievement across all of their efforts,” said CLS Strategies’ founding partner, Bob Chlopak.  “Andrew has also been valuable leader in advancing the firms positioning and new brand as we head toward our third decade in the industry,” he added.

Andrew joined CLS as a Managing Director in 2010, quickly rising through the ranks of the firm, including being named partner in 2013. As a partner at CLS Strategies, Andrew advises clients in several industries, from financial services, healthcare and energy to aerospace, technology and robotics. Notably, Andrew for more than two years has been spearheading a public affairs campaign to pave the way for the integration of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) into the U.S. airspace by 2015.

Andrew also headed CLS Strategies’ work to restore Kenya’s image in the U.S. following post-electoral violence in 2007-2008. Working closely with the Kenyan Embassy in Washington and various ministries in Nairobi, Andrew and his team ensured that Kenya received the credit it deserved for passing a new constitution, implementing sweeping political reforms, combating militants in Somalia and growing its economy. Owing to a combination of good policy and good communications, Kenya in March 2013 held free, peaceful and fair elections that earned the praise of U.S. and international observers.

“I am honored by this recognition which more than anything is reflection on the outstanding work performed by my colleagues at CLS Strategies for our clients.  I am proud to be part of an organization that lives its brand of always looking ahead of our clients needs with unexpected and smart communications solutions,” said Koneschusky.

Andrew comes out of Democratic politics, having previously served as Executive Director of the Louisiana Democratic Party and National Press Secretary for Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY), among other positions.

Andrew is featured in the August 2014 edition of PRWeek and will be honored in September at the “40 under 40” Dinner and Awards Presentation in New York City.
