William advises both domestic and international clients facing high-stakes litigation, regulatory and reputational challenges. At CLS Strategies, he applies his professional experience in Latin America to serve private and public sector clients across the region and in the practice areas of public affairs, crisis communications, and political strategy.
Prior to joining CLS, William cut his teeth at a strategic communications and public affairs agency in Bogota, through which he worked with a government ministry during its peace negotiations with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) guerrilla group. In addition, he served as an Account Executive for various multinationals in the maritime shipping, telecommunications, and financial services industries as they expanded operations in Colombia through investments, joint ventures, mergers and new financial products.
During his four years in Colombia, William also worked as a Research Associate for the Department of Political Science at the Universidad del Rosario, and wrote for Bogota’s English language newspaper. He also volunteered for the successful reelection campaign of Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos.
Originally from New York, William graduated with honors from Georgetown University with a degree in Government and a minor in Spanish. While in college, he served as an Editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs and spent a semester studying in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
