As a Managing Director, Allison leads strategic communications for a diverse array of clients, covering everything from marketing and digital to public affairs and reputation management. She is a savvy communicator and critical thinker with a long track record of helping clients think outside the box and win.
For a recent battle in Washington D.C. over the regulation of unmanned aircraft systems (aka drones), Allison managed media relations for the largest association of hobbyists, the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). For Airlines for America (A4A), she led the design, creation and execution of multiple highly-successful social media campaigns, including one called #WhyWeFly. This creative digital campaign, inspired by Humans of New York, collects the stories of real people, highlighting the moment and memories air travel facilitates and creating more positive perceptions of flying.
Allison also works with our international and corporate clients on crisis communications and public affairs campaigns. For a major software company focusing on taxes and online financial tools, Allison leads the company’s strategic communication and online initiatives in Washington, D.C. She drives this influencer campaign from the start of the brainstorm all the way through the final execution and reporting.
Prior to joining CLS Strategies, Allison worked for Global Strategy Group where she focused on non-profit work and media relations. In 2012, she worked on President Obama’s reelection campaign in Florida training volunteers and working to get out the vote. Previously, she worked at a lobbying firm in Washington that focused on increasing funding for higher education.
Allison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hope College, based in Holland, Michigan.
