CLS Strategies Seeks Applicants for Digital Role

CLS Strategies is seeking a digital communications professional to plan and oversee online initiatives with the goal of shifting public opinion, building coalitions, and influencing legislative policy. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of the digital ecosystem, which includes online advertising, social media campaigns, digital design, and audience identification. Applicants should be comfortable clearly communicating to clients how complex online campaigns function and are pivotal aspect of the client’s communications strategy. This job is located in Washington, D.C.

The successful applicant will be asked to:

  • Develop, execute, and analyze digital strategies on behalf of clients – provide strategic counsel on what will work best, and for which audiences
  • Manage in-house digital advertising (display, social media promotion, video), and work with vendors for select large-scale campaigns
  • Research and define digital audience targeting tactics that will help move the needle on client issues
  • Serve as the point-person on design and web production projects, managing vendors, meeting deadlines, and at times producing content using Adobe Creative Suite products
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance from display, SEM, and social media promotion platforms, and convey results in a meaningful and clear manner to clients
  • Lead occasional digital fluency efforts within the firm, specifically when it comes to new technology that can benefit clients

We’re looking for creative, self-motivated digital professionals for who have:

  • Experience working with digital teams on political or issue-advocacy campaigns, or on behalf of trade associations or corporations within an agency setting
  • Examples of visually-compelling online campaigns that explain complex regulatory issues
  • An eye for design, experience developing creative content that connects with audiences, and a proficiency in the Adobe products needed for production
  • Experience with online ad technology, and an understanding of paid display and social media promotion and capabilities
  • An understanding of the powers and limitations of social listening and the technologies that provide the data
